The Convocation Medals for graduate studies recognize graduating students from each faculty whose cumulative grade-point averages place them in the top five per cent of their class.

Human Frontiers Science Program (HFSP)" Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships (CDF)Jefferson Chan (Bennet Group) has been awarded one of five "Human Frontiers Science Program (HFSP)" Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships (CDF).  These awards are open to applicants with a Ph.D. from outside the life sciences e.g. in physics,
chemistry, mathematics, engineering or computer sciences who have had limited exposure to biology during their previous training and will undertake their PDF research in a significantly different area of biology-based science.
